Forum conference with François Villeroy de Galhau, Governor of the Banque de France

On Tuesday March 12, 2024, the Forum ENSAE student association welcomed the Governor of the Banque de France, François Villeroy de Galhau, for a conference on "Climate risk: from preventive to prudential, what role for the Banque de France?". The event attracted students and fellow students from other schools on campus, as well as lecturers, researchers and alumni.

To round off the 2023 term of the Forum ENSAE student association, the students offered their fellow students an exceptional conference: introducing them to the role and professions of central banks, and informing them about and debating climate issues, thanks to a presentation and Q&A session with François Villeroy de Galhau, Governor of the Banque de France. Accompanied by four members of staff, including three ENSAE Alumni, the discussions, which continued over a buffet, enabled the students to learn more about the Banque de France's positioning and to gain a clear understanding of the possible areas of intervention as the State's banker on the challenges of climate change.

From supervision to incentives, the Governor detailed the actions and prospects for supporting the economy in its ecological transition. The discussions were rich in both diversity and technicality.
