Professional skills 2: The job interview

Objective

The course is a 3-hour workshop aiming at helping the participants prepare for job interviews (both as recrutees and recruters). The pedagogy is based on sharing practices, experimentation and simulation exercices.

The main objetcive are to prepare students to

-          Search efficiently for internships and jobs

-          Know how to decipher the exceptations of recruiters

-          Prepare for an interview

-          Prepare to conduct an interview

Activites can include the following

- Sharing strategies to find an internship

- Identify your qualities, talents, values / areas for improvement

- Creating your CV / Sharing students’ CVs for inspiration

- Writing a cover letter / email / sharing students' letters for inspiration

- How to conduct an interview / sharing of experiences

- Preparing for an interview from the point of view of a job applicant and that of a recruiter

- Presenting yourself during an interview

- Role playing

Teacher

Marika Mathias-Dronne is a coach and trainer in personal development and professional efficiency. She comes from the corporate world. For 10 years, she supervised information and organisation projects at the CCI Paris Ile de France, where she also managed cross-functional teams. In addition to being the co-founder of the Supplément Dâmes collective she has been working in higher education establishments (Ensae, École des Ponts ParisTech, EFREI, Web School Factory, the Pôle Léonard de Vinci) and with various companies (Safran, Monsieur Bricolage, Kiabi, the Innovation Factory and Créatis incubators) for 7 years.
