ENSAE Paris is a very small institution by international standards. It prides itself in “knowing students by their first names”, accompanying them in their projects, and offering internationally-recognized courses (namely, by US and UK institutions).
Classes are from Monday to Friday and begin at 8:30 am.
Classes and tutorials are organized into blocks lasting 1.5 to 3 hours.
The lunch break runs from 11:45am to 1:30 pm.
2 half days are dedicated to the practice of sports (details in french) and associative activities (details in french) : Monday afternoons (compulsory practice) and Thursday afternoons (reserved for competitions and/or associative activities).
In the third year, classes are essentially concentrated on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

English Courses are compulsory. For international students, French as a Foreign Language courses are also compulsory. All incoming students are expected to acquire a reasonable command of French during their stay at ENSAE Paris (French as a Foreign Language: B2 Level).
ENSAE Paris is situated 20km south of Paris. It is located within the campus of the Institut Polytechnique de Paris (IP Paris).

The new and modern ENSAE building has been designed to enhance research activities and student cooperation with the researchers and staff of all the neighboring schools on the campus.

Zoov electric bikes
“Zoov” electric bicycles are available at dedicated stations. Self-service electric bicycles for staff and students are accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and have a 45-kilometer range. They can be unlocked by using the Zoov app.
Incentives for carpooling via KAROS
Drivers who own the vehicle used are paid (approx. €2/trip); trips are free for passengers with a Navigo pass.
On-campus Food Services
Several dining options are available around the campus, catering for all appetites.
- The CROUS University Restaurant (RU) provides good quality balanced foods at low prices in a variety of meal deals, prepared on-site using fresh products.
- Two CROUS food trucks, offering burgers and world cuisine, serve meals from Monday to Friday from 12:00 to 2:00 pm.
- Each Grande École has its own cafeteria serving hot and cold meals, sandwiches, salads and snacks.
- Just off campus: bakery, Brasserie (pub), Asian deli.
This network of Grandes Écoles feeds a vibrant associative on-campus life. There are over 20 student associations bringing conviviality to ENSAE Paris. All the contact details and the activities that the associations propose can be found on the website.
IP Paris campus facilitates and encourages sport. It not only helps develop physical qualities, but promotes team spirit, perseverance, and self-improvement as well.
