Introduction to Environmental Economics

Objectif

Ce cours présente l'analyse économique des problèmes environnementaux (tels que la pollution) et de la gestion des ressources naturelles. Les concepts économiques d'externalité, de biens publics (non rivalité et non exclusion) et de défaillance du marché fournissent la justification de l'intervention publique. Les réglementations environnementales sont comparées à l'aide de la notion d'efficacité économique et de l'approche coût bénéfice. Le risque environnemental, l’escompte environnemental et le principe de précaution sont analysés en utilisant la théorie de la décision dans l'incertain. Les décisions irréversibles et celles liées à la préservation de la biodiversité sont évaluées à l'aide de la méthode de valorisation des options.
