Victor-Emmanuel BRUNEL

Biographie

I have been a member of the Corps des Administrateurs de l'INSEE (the French Governmental Institute for Statistical and Economical Studies) since 2009, which has allowed me to take the position of an Assistant Professor in mathematical statistics at ENSAE since 2018. I obtained my PhD in Statistics in 2014, jointly at the Université Pierre et Marie Curie and at the Université of Haifa, under the supervision of Alexandre Tsybakov and Alexander Goldenshluger. During my PhD, I was also a Coordinator of mathematical and statistical studies at ENSAE, which was my first position as a member of the Corps des Administrateurs de l'INSEE. Then, I spent one year as a visiting scholar at the Cowles Foundation for Economics at Yale, and I became an Instructor in the Department of Mathematics of MIT, from 2015 to 2018. Starting in September 2020, I am supervising Gabriel Romon's PhD on statistical inference on non linear spaces.
