The Advanced Master degrees (Mastères Spécialisés-MS) are tailored to equip post-graduate students (already holding a Master’s Degree) with a unique combination of advanced pluridisciplinary scientific skills, as well as practical and professional know-how. These programs build on both ENSAE’s academic excellence and close ties with companies and industry professionals to broaden the professional opportunities of ENSAE Paris graduates.
4 Advanced Masters programs
In this program students devote about 20% of their time to tutorials, during which either a researcher or a professional helps them to deal with genuine applied or theoretical problems.
The program corresponds roughly to the third year of the ENSAE engineering program (i.e., to a specialization within one of the above five majors). The training is completed by an internship which lasts between 4 and 6 months. The “Mastère spécialisé” is particularly suited to graduates who aim at deepening their knowledge in one of the above fields and apply it as practitioners in a professional environment, as well as benefiting from the academic excellence of the “Grandes écoles”. Given the strong emphasis on quantitative methods, these programs require a strong initial level in Applied Mathematics. As a prerequisite students must hold a Master degree in Quantitative Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or Quantitative Finance. Although more and more courses are delivered in English, courses are also taught in French, fluency in both languages is required.
