ENSAE's Three-Year Program

In their second year, all students take courses in the core subjects taught at ENSAE :

  • Mathematical Statistics
  • Linear and Nonlinear Econometrics  
  • Time Series Analysis
  • Microeconomics
  • Macroeconomics

They also carry out a project in Applied Statistics, follow an Introduction to Law, an Introduction to Accounting, and attend Lectures in Applied Economics. They additionnaly study English and another foreign language.

Students also have the choice of deepening their knowledge in either major:

  • Economics 
  • Applied Mathematics

 

Economics Major

Compulsory courses: Game Theory, Advanced Macroeconomics, Advanced Microeconomics

Optional courses (five courses): Sociology, Survey Sampling, Corporate Finance, Financial Instruments, International Trade, Introduction to Mathematical Finance, Growth and Economic Cycle Theory, Dynamic Optimization, Microeconomics of Finance, Project in Economic Modeling, Advanced Mathematical Statistics, Statistical Modeling Seminar, Risk Theory 

Applied Mathematics Major

Compulsory courses: Introduction to Stochastic Processes, Advanced Mathematical Statistics, Simulation Based Methods

Optional courses (five courses): C++, Survey Sampling, Game Theory, Risk Theory, Nonparametric Statistics, Introduction to Mathematical Finance, Statistical Modeling Seminar,  Corporate Finance, Financial Instruments, Dynamic Optimization, Microeconomics of Finance, Advanced Macroeconomics, Advanced Microeconomics
