Relationships with a research environment are fostered by the option of combining third year studies at ENSAE with the preparation of a Research Master. Even if an ENSAE student decides not to continue her/his work for a doctorate, the year of preparation provides an opportunity for contact with research methods and researchers.
In order to encourage its students to take advantage of this option, ENSAE is directly involved in several research oriented Masters:

- "Economics and Public Policy", accredited with Ecole Polytechnique and Sciences Po
- "Mathematics Applied to Economics and Finance", accredited with University Paris Dauphine
- "Probability, Statistics and Applications", accredited with University Paris VII
- "Statistics", accredited with University Paris Dauphine
