Like most French "Grandes écoles", ENSAE offers a fifteen-month postgraduate programme leading to the "Mastère Spécialisé de Modélisation Economique et Statistique". This diploma is recognized by the "Conférence des grandes écoles".

Students are admitted onto this program on the basis of academic qualification (Master degree in one of the fields of the ENSAE : economics, statistics or finance, or degree from a graduate school of engineering). Most courses are taught in French, applicants should therefore have a good command of French. More than one hundred courses are provided at ENSAE and each student specializes in one of the following six majors:

  • Statistics
  • Quantitative Methods and Social Sciences
  • Market Analysis and Corporate Finance
  • Forecasting and Economic Policy
  • Quantitative Finance
  • Actuarial Science

Students on this program devote 20% of their course time to tutorials, during which a researcher or professional helps them to approach and deal with authentic applied and/or theoretical problems.

The program corresponds to the third year of the ENSAE program, i.e. to a specialization within one of the following six majors. The period of courses is followed  by an internship lasting 4 to  six months. The Mastère spécialisé is a degree recognized by the "Conférence des Grandes Ecoles", and particularly suited to graduates aiming to deepen their knowledge in one of the above fields, and apply it in a professional context, as well as benefit from the Image of academic excellence of the Grandes Ecoles.
