All ENSAE students must spend two training periods (internships) in a firm or government service.

The first one, which lasts four to eight weeks, takes place at the end of the first year and is meant to familiarise students with life in a professional environment.

The second one, which lasts three to four months, takes place at the end of the second year and gives students the opportunity to apply the techniques and knowledge acquired during their first two years of study at ENSAE.

This second internship can be turned into a one year internship or two six month internships.

Students entering the program in the last year and students enrolled in postgraduate programs must carry out a final year internship lasting 4 to 6 months.
