Faculty Position in Social Genomics at ENSAE-CREST

 

ENSAE ParisTech and CREST are currently inviting applications for a tenure-track faculty position with specialization in social genomics.

Social genomics concerns a field of research that integrates theories, data, and methods across the social, health, and genetic sciences to study the interdependence of biology and social behavior.

The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain a cutting-edge research program that specializes in data integration from genomic and social/health science sources with a focus on statistical and computational approaches to genetic analysis and application to answering social/health science questions.  Interest in the study of gene-environment interplay and/or epigenetics of social and health science related questions will be appreciated.

All candidates must have a PhD, or equivalent, in the social sciences and demonstrated excellence in research. Successful applicants are expected to develop vibrant, collaborative, extramurally funded research programs that bridge the life, social and behavioral sciences. Faculty are expected to advise graduate and post-graduate research, and to teach courses, in the area of social genomics and in the relevant applied methods.

The successful candidate will teach courses at ENSAE and will be expected to contribute to research activities of CREST in sociology, economics and statistics.
